Leicester City Miss Chance to Seal Automatic Promotion
Plymouth Argyle Hold Leaders to 0-0 Draw
Argyle Extend Unbeaten Home Streak Against Foxes
Plymouth Argyle dealt Championship leaders Leicester City's automatic promotion hopes a blow on Tuesday, holding them to a 0-0 draw at Home Park. Despite dominating the match, Leicester were unable to break down a resolute Argyle defense, missing out on the chance to secure a top-two finish with three games remaining.
Argyle, who are unbeaten across their last 10 home league games against Leicester, frustrated the Foxes throughout with a solid defensive performance. Leicester had the best chances of the match, but could not find a way past keeper Mike Cooper.
The draw leaves Leicester fourth in the Championship, three points behind second-placed Sheffield United and four points ahead of third-placed Burnley. Argyle, meanwhile, remain in 15th place, safely clear of the relegation zone.
Leicester's failure to win gives Sheffield United a chance to secure promotion with a win over Millwall on Wednesday. Burnley can also move above Leicester into second place with a win over Rotherham United.
